Oasis is a family of real people who are hungry for God and
are growing and learning together. We are here to reach out to others
who maybe hurting, lost, happy, broken, marginalised, content, lonely,
sick, confused, thriving, fearful, ashamed, depressed, searching and
asking questions...[anyone who is breathing] and
helping them connect with a loving and living God.
We would like to invite you to come and visit us at
Jubilee Wharf on Sunday evening were you will be welcome just as you
are.
This fellowship is growing and enjoying the grace of God. It is real
and fresh. We all come with our own problems and failings but we come
together to worship God and learn about living our lives with Him
and serving Him. It is not a place where we have all the answers and
special privileges. We all come as we are to find hope, find love,
find reason... FIND JESUS.
My name is Chris Parker and here is my story…
I am 27 and the second eldest of six boys. I have a wonderful family
and each of us has a personal relationship with the living God. I
was educated at school and university and have heard and explored
the Christian faith throughout my life, both at home and in church.
I believe God has asked me to serve Him and has brought me back to
Cornwall to reach out to young adults and tell them a better story
than the ones they are hearing from the world around them, the
gospel. Our purpose is to bring hope and speak positively into
people’s lives. The vision for Oasis is to worship God, bless
people and make disciples. This is a family opening up to welcome
everyone. We want you to get involved and offer your talents and service
wherever you can. When Jesus spoke about a lady who anointed him with
perfume he said “she has done a good work for me… she
has done what she could.” It is not about your ability but your
availability.
God loves you and Jesus died for you. God loves you
even if you don’t love Him or you think you are unlovable. Nothing
can separate you from the love of God.
"For I am convinced that neither death not
life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future,
nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us
from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:37-39
