QUESTIONS
Q: What is Oasis?
A: Oasis is a vibrant and growing church, which was planted in Penryn on
17th June 2007.
Q: Where was Oasis before this plant?
A: A family of Christians were meeting in Mylor Bridge as a house church
for several years.
Q: What is a church and what is a house church?
A: A “church” is a group of called out people to worship
God together and a “house church” is a group of believers meeting and worshiping in a home.
Q: When will Oasis meet together?
A: Sundays evening at 6:30pm at the Zed Shed on Jubilee Wharf, Penryn.
Thursdays 6.30pm at Flat 1, 5 Grove Place, Falmouth for prayer.
Q: Who leads Oasis?
A: Oasis was planted by Chris Parker with the help of his famliy
[Dad, Mum and 5 brothers]. As the church has grown, Charles Fox and
Roger Parrott have commited to serving and leading alongside Chris.
Q: Can I attend Oasis if I am a member at another
church?
A: Yes please visit and encourage us.
Q: Will I be welcome at Oasis if I do not normally
attend a church or if I am not a Christian believer?
A: Yes. Oasis welcomes everyone with grace and mercy.
Q: What does it cost?
A: To visit; nothing. To those who are committed we ask you to share what you have; time, talents, spiritual gifts, finance and other contributions to edify and support the church.
Q: How can I join Oasis?
A: Oasis is a family and not a club. If you want to become part of Oasis
please come along and speak to one of the leaders about how you can get involved.
Q: Do I have to get involved?
A: If you have no desire to be part of the church you can warm a pew somewhere else. However if you need to take some time to heal at Oasis and draw near to God we will support and help you to a place where you are restored and ready to be a part of God's church and take up the work He has planned and prepared for you.
Q: Why should I come?
A: Because you are a sinner and Jesus is the Saviour! You are loved by Jesus and you can find hope in Him. You are not too far away or too bad to come
to church, look for God or pray. We will do our best to make you feel welcome and encourage you.
